英语儿童文学作为跨文化教育的重要载体,其蕴含的道德教育功能在塑造儿童价值观方面具有深远意义。本研究以英语儿童文学中的道德教育功能为切入点,旨在探讨其对儿童道德认知发展的潜在影响,并揭示其在当代教育实践中的应用价值。研究基于社会文化理论和道德发展理论,选取了19世纪至今的经典英语儿童文学作品作为分析对象,运用文本分析法与案例研究法相结合的方式,深入剖析作品中道德主题的表现形式及其教育内涵。研究表明,英语儿童文学通过隐喻、象征及叙事策略,将复杂道德观念转化为易于理解的故事内容,从而有效促进儿童的道德推理能力和共情能力的发展。此外,研究发现不同文化背景下的道德教育理念在英语儿童文学中呈现出多样化特征,这为跨文化教育提供了丰富的资源和启示。本研究的创新点在于首次系统梳理了英语儿童文学中道德教育功能的历史演变,并提出了基于文学阅读的道德教育实践框架,为相关领域的教学设计和课程开发提供了理论支持与实践指导。这一成果不仅丰富了儿童文学研究的视角,也为全球化背景下的道德教育探索开辟了新路径。

Abstract
English children's literature, as an important vehicle for cross-cultural education, carries profound significance in shaping children's values through its embedded moral education function. This study focuses on the moral education function within English children's literature, aiming to explore its potential impact on the development of children's moral cognition and to reveal its application value in contemporary educational practice. Grounded in sociocultural theory and moral development theory, the study selects classic works of English children's literature from the 19th century to the present as analytical ob jects, employing a combination of textual analysis and case study methods to examine the representation forms and educational implications of moral themes within these works. The findings indicate that English children's literature effectively transforms complex moral concepts into comprehensible narrative content through me taphor, symbolism, and narrative strategies, thereby promoting the development of children's moral reasoning and empathy skills. Moreover, the study reveals that moral education philosophies from diverse cultural contexts exhibit varied characteristics within English children's literature, offering rich resources and insights for cross-cultural education. A key innovation of this research lies in its systematicof the historical evolution of the moral education function in English children's literature, along with the proposal of a literature-based fr amework for moral education practice, which provides theoretical support and practical guidance for teaching design and curriculum development in related fields. This achievement not only enriches the perspectives of children's literature research but also opens new avenues for exploring moral education in the context of globalization.
