摘 要：随着全球化进程的加速，英语新闻写作在跨文化传播中扮演着日益重要的角色，然而虚假信息和偏见报道的泛滥对新闻行业的公信力构成了严峻挑战，因此事实核查与客观性保持成为亟待解决的核心问题。本研究旨在探讨英语新闻写作中事实核查的实践路径及其对客观性的影响，并提出一套系统化的核查框架以提升新闻质量。研究采用定性与定量相结合的方法，通过分析100篇国际主流媒体的英语新闻样本，结合深度访谈和问卷调查，揭示当前事实核查存在的主要障碍及记者的应对策略。结果显示，尽管多数新闻机构已建立初步的事实核查机制，但技术局限、时间压力和资源不足仍是制约其有效实施的关键因素。此外，研究发现记者的专业素养和伦理意识在客观性保持中起到决定性作用。本研究的创新点在于首次将人工智能技术引入事实核查流程，并设计了一种多维度评估模型，能够显著提高核查效率和准确性。这一成果不仅为新闻从业者提供了实用的操作指南，也为相关学术研究奠定了理论基础，从而推动英语新闻写作向更加透明、公正的方向发展。

Fact-Checking and the Maintenance of ob jectivity in English News Writing

Abstract：As globalization accelerates, English news writing plays an increasingly significant role in cross-cultural communication. However, the proliferation of misinformation and biased reporting poses a severe challenge to the credibility of the news industry, making fact-checking and the maintenance of ob jectivity critical issues that urgently need addressing. This study aims to explore the practical approaches of fact-checking in English news writing and its impact on ob jectivity, proposing a systematic verification fr amework to enhance news quality. By employing a mixed-methods approach, the research analyzes 100 English news samples from international mainstream media, supplemented by in-depth interviews and questionnaire surveys, to uncover the primary obstacles in current fact-checking practices and journalists' coping strategies. The findings indicate that although most news organizations have established preliminary fact-checking mechanisms, technological limitations, time constraints, and insufficient resources remain key factors hindering their effective implementation. Moreover, the study reveals that journalists' professional competence and ethical awareness play a decisive role in maintaining ob jectivity. A notable innovation of this research lies in the first-time integration of artificial intelligence technology into the fact-checking process, along with the development of a multi-dimensional evaluation model that significantly improves verification efficiency and accuracy. This outcome not only provides practical operational guidelines for news practitioners but also lays a theoretical foundation for related academic research, thereby promoting the development of English news writing toward greater transparency and fairness.
