摘 要
方鸿渐作为钱钟书《围城》中的核心人物，其形象具有丰富的性格内涵和深刻的社会意义。本研究基于文学批评理论与文本细读方法，深入剖析方鸿渐的性格特征及其在现代中国知识分子群体中的代表性。通过对小说文本的系统梳理，结合社会历史背景，揭示了方鸿渐性格中理想主义与现实困境之间的矛盾冲突。研究发现，方鸿渐既具备传统文人的才情与抱负，又深受西方文化影响，在新旧思想碰撞中迷失自我。他对待婚姻、事业的态度摇摆不定，反映出当时社会转型期知识分子普遍面临的困惑与挣扎。本研究创新性地将心理学视角引入分析框架，从人格特质角度解读方鸿渐的行为模式，指出其性格缺陷并非个体偶然，而是特定时代背景下知识阶层共同的心理特征。

Abstract
As the core character in Qian Zhongshu's Fortress Besieged, Fang Hung-chien has rich character connotation and profound social significance. Based on the theory of literary criticism and the text reading method, this study deeply analyzes the characteristics of Fang Hongjian's character and his representativeness in modern Chinese intellectuals. Through the systematic combing of the novel text and combining with the social and historical background, the conflict between the idealism and the realistic dilemma in Fang Hongjian's character is revealed. The study found that Fang Hung-chien not only had the talent and ambition of traditional literati, but also was deeply influenced by western culture and lost himself in the collision of old and new ideas. His wavering attitude towards marriage and career reflected the confusion and struggle generally faced by intellectuals in the transition period of society. This study innovatively introduces the psychological perspective into the analytical fr amework, interprets Fang Hung-chien's behavior pattern from the perspective of personality traits, and points out that his character defects are not individual accident, but the common psychological characteristics of the intellectual class in a specific era background.
