《呼啸山庄》作为英国文学史上的经典之作，其复杂的人物关系和深刻的社会问题一直备受关注。本研究以辛德雷这一关键人物为切入点，探讨其人物形象的多面性及其与家庭暴力现象的深层关联。研究旨在通过文本细读与社会历史分析相结合的方法，揭示辛德雷性格形成的社会文化背景及心理动因，并进一步剖析家庭暴力在小说中的表现形式及其根源。通过对原著中具体情节的梳理与解读，结合19世纪英国社会的文化语境，本研究发现辛德雷的家庭暴力行为并非单纯的个体缺陷所致，而是受到父权制社会结构、阶级观念以及个人心理创伤等多重因素的影响。研究结果表明，辛德雷的形象不仅是个人悲剧的体现，更是当时社会矛盾的缩影。本研究的创新点在于将文学批评与社会学视角相融合，从家庭暴力的根源出发重新审视辛德雷这一被忽视的角色，从而丰富了对《呼啸山庄》主题内涵的理解，也为相关文学研究提供了新的思路。关键词：辛德雷; 家庭暴力; 父权制社会; 《呼啸山庄》; 多面性人物形象
Abstract
"Wuthering Heights," as a classic in the annals of British literature, has consistently drawn attention for its intricate character relationships and profound social issues. This study focuses on Hindley, a pivotal character, to explore the multifaceted nature of his persona and its deep connection to the phenomenon of domestic violence. By employing a methodology that combines close textual reading with socio-historical analysis, the study uncovers the socio-cultural context and psychological motivations underlying the formation of Hindley's character, while further examining the manifestations and origins of domestic violence within the novel. Through a systematic梳理and interpretation of specific plot elements in conjunction with the cultural milieu of 19th-century Britain, it is revealed that Hindley's violent behavior cannot be attributed solely to individual flaws but is instead influenced by multiple factors, including patriarchal social structures, class ideologies, and personal psychological trauma. The findings indicate that Hindley's character represents not only an individual tragedy but also a reflection of the societal contradictions of the time. The novelty of this research lies in its integration of literary criticism with sociological perspectives, re-evaluating Hindley, a previously overlooked figure, from the perspective of the roots of domestic violence.
