《呼啸山庄》是英国文学史上的经典之作，其中哈里顿的形象在复仇与救赎的主题交织中具有重要地位。本研究以哈里顿为切入点，通过文本细读与比较分析方法，探讨其人物形象如何体现复仇与救赎的复杂关系。研究背景基于19世纪英国社会阶级固化及个人命运抗争的语境，旨在揭示哈里顿从被压迫到自我觉醒的过程及其对复仇心理的超越。通过对原著中关键情节和语言细节的剖析，发现哈里顿的成长轨迹不仅反映了社会环境对个体的影响，也展现了人性中向善的可能性。研究结果表明，哈里顿作为连接两个家族矛盾的核心人物，其形象塑造突破了传统复仇叙事的单一维度，赋予作品更深层次的人文关怀。本研究的创新点在于将哈里顿置于动态的社会与心理双重框架下考察，从而深化对其人物内涵的理解，并为相关主题研究提供新的视角。最终结论认为，《呼啸山庄》通过哈里顿的故事，成功诠释了复仇与救赎并非对立，而是可以相互转化的复杂命题。关键词：哈里顿; 复仇与救赎; 社会阶级; 人物形象; 人性向善
Abstract
"Wuthering Heights" is a classic in the history of British literature, and the character of Hareton plays a significant role in the interweaving themes of revenge and redemption. This study takes Hareton as a focal point, employing close reading and comparative analysis to explore how his character embodies the complex relationship between revenge and redemption. Grounded in the context of 19th-century British society, characterized by rigid class structures and individual struggles against fate, this research aims to reveal Hareton's journey from oppression to self-awakening and his transcendence of vengeful psychology. Through an examination of key plots and linguistic details in the original text, it is found that Hareton's developmental trajectory not only reflects the influence of social environment on individuals but also demonstrates the potential for human goodness. The results indicate that, as the central figure connecting the conflicts between two families, Hareton's characterization transcends the singular dimensionality of traditional revenge narratives, imbuing the work with deeper levels of humanitarian concern. The innovation of this study lies in its dynamic examination of Hareton within both social and psychological fr ameworks, thereby enriching the understanding of his character's inner significance and offering new perspectives for related thematic studies.
