摘 要
《傲慢与偏见》作为简·奥斯丁的经典作品，其人物形象的塑造深受18世纪末英国社会文化背景的影响。本文以班纳特太太这一颇具争议性的人物为研究对象，通过文本细读与女性主义批评相结合的方法，探讨其母性角色的扭曲及其背后的社会成因。研究发现，班纳特太太的行为模式并非单纯出于个人性格缺陷，而是当时父权社会结构对女性身份压迫的结果。她对婚姻的过度追求和对子女教育的忽视，实际上反映了中产阶级女性在经济与社会地位双重限制下的生存困境。本文创新性地将班纳特太太置于社会性别体系的框架下进行分析，揭示了其母性角色的扭曲不仅是个人选择的问题，更是社会结构性矛盾的体现。这一研究不仅丰富了对班纳特太太形象的理解，也为重新审视19世纪初英国女性的社会角色提供了新的视角。

Abstract
"Pride and Prejudice," as a classic work by Jane Austen, features character portrayals that are profoundly influenced by the socio-cultural context of late 18th-century Britain. This study focuses on Mrs. Bennet, a highly controversial figure, employing a combination of close reading and feminist criticism to explore the distortion of her maternal role and its underlying social causes. The findings indicate that Mrs. Bennet's behavioral patterns are not merely attributable to personal character flaws but rather stem from the oppressive constraints imposed on female identities within the patriarchal societal structure of the time. Her excessive preoccupation with marriage and neglect of children's education reflect the survival challenges faced by middle-class women, who were doubly restricted by economic limitations and subordinate social status. Innovatively situating Mrs. Bennet within the fr amework of the societal gender system, this study reveals that the distortion of her maternal role is not solely a matter of individual choice but also an embodiment of broader structural contradictions in society.
