摘 要：英语诗歌中的象征主义手法是文学研究的重要领域，其起源可追溯至19世纪末的欧洲文学运动。本研究旨在探讨英语诗歌中象征主义手法的应用及其对诗歌意义构建的影响，通过分析经典英语诗歌文本，揭示象征主义在情感表达、主题深化和美学呈现中的独特作用。研究采用文本细读与比较分析相结合的方法，选取了多位代表性诗人的作品，包括T.S.艾略特、威廉·布莱克和艾米莉·狄金森等，从符号学、语义学及文化背景等多个维度进行深入剖析。研究表明，象征主义手法不仅丰富了诗歌的艺术表现力，还为读者提供了多层次的解读空间，使诗歌能够超越字面意义而触及更深层次的精神内涵。本研究的创新点在于将象征主义置于跨文化和历史语境下考察，提出了“动态象征体系”的概念，强调象征意义生成的互动性和开放性。这一发现拓展了传统象征主义研究的边界，为理解英语诗歌提供了一种新的理论框架，同时对现代诗歌创作和批评实践具有重要启示意义。

Abstract：The application of symbolism in English poetry constitutes a significant area of literary research, with its origins traceable to the late 19th-century European literary movement. This study investigates the use of symbolism in English poetry and its impact on the construction of poetic meaning, analyzing canonical English poetic texts to reveal the unique role of symbolism in emotional ex pression, thematic depth, and aesthetic representation. Employing a methodology that combines close reading with comparative analysis, the study examines works by representative poets such as T.S. Eliot, William Blake, and Emily Dickinson, exploring their use of symbolism from multiple dimensions including semiotics, semantics, and cultural context. The findings indicate that symbolic techniques not only enhance the artistic expressiveness of poetry but also provide readers with multi-layered interpretive spaces, enabling poetry to transcend literal meanings and engage deeper spiritual connotations. A key innovation of this research lies in situating symbolism within cross-cultural and historical contexts, introducing the concept of a "dynamic symbolic system" that emphasizes the interactivity and openness of symbolic meaning generation. This discovery extends the boundaries of traditional symbolic studies, offering a new theoretical fr amework for understanding English poetry while providing important insights into modern poetic creation and critical practice.
