摘 要：在全球化快速推进的背景下，英语作为全球通用语的地位日益凸显，其在跨文化交流、国际贸易以及国际教育等领域中发挥着不可替代的作用。然而，这一地位也面临着来自语言多样性保护、文化认同冲突以及技术驱动的语言学习变革等多重挑战。本研究旨在探讨英语作为全球通用语的现状及其所面临的复杂问题，并提出应对策略。研究采用定量与定性相结合的方法，通过问卷调查、深度访谈以及文献分析，收集了来自不同地区、文化背景和职业领域的数据样本。结果表明，尽管英语在全球范围内的使用频率和影响力持续上升，但其推广过程中也引发了语言不平等加剧、本土语言边缘化以及文化同质化等问题。此外，新兴技术如人工智能翻译工具的应用正在改变传统语言学习和交流模式，对英语的主导地位构成潜在威胁。本研究的创新点在于将全球化进程中的语言政策、技术发展与社会文化因素纳入统一框架进行分析，为相关决策者提供了兼具理论依据和实践指导意义的参考方案。最终结论强调，在维护英语作为全球通用语功能的同时，应注重构建多语言共存的和谐生态，以实现语言资源的可持续发展与文化多样性的有效保护。

The Status and Challenges of English as a Global Lingua Franca in the Context of Globalization

Abstract：In the context of rapidly advancing globalization, the status of English as a global lingua franca has become increasingly prominent, playing an indispensable role in intercultural communication, international trade, and global education. Nevertheless, this position is also confronted with multifaceted challenges, including the preservation of linguistic diversity, conflicts of cultural identity, and transformative changes in language learning driven by technology. This study aims to examine the current state of English as a global lingua franca and its associated complex issues, proposing corresponding strategies to address these challenges. By employing a mixed-methods approach that integrates quantitative and qualitative data, the research collects samples from diverse regions, cultural backgrounds, and professional domains through questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and literature analysis. The findings indicate that, despite the continuous increase in the frequency and influence of English on a global scale, its dissemination has also led to intensified linguistic inequality, marginalization of local languages, and cultural homogenization. Moreover, the application of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence-based translation tools, is reshaping traditional models of language learning and communication, potentially threatening the dominant position of English. A key innovation of this study lies in its integration of language policy, technological development, and sociocultural factors within a unified analytical fr amework, offering decision-makers theoretically grounded and practically applicable reference solutions. The final conclusion underscores the importance of balancing the maintenance of English's functionality as a global lingua franca with the promotion of a harmonious multilingual ecosystem to ensure the sustainable development of language resources and the effective protection of cultural diversity.
