摘 要:英语学习者在口语表达中往往面临流利度与准确性之间的矛盾,这一问题已成为二语习得研究中的重要议题。本研究旨在探讨如何通过科学的平衡策略帮助学习者提升口语能力,从而实现流利度与准确性的协调发展。基于社会建构主义理论和互动语言学框架,研究采用混合研究方法,结合问卷调查、访谈及口语测试数据分析,对150名非英语专业大学生的口语表现进行了深入考察。结果表明,学习者的口语流利度与准确性之间存在显著相关性,但两者的发展路径并不完全同步。通过引入“渐进式任务复杂度”训练模式,学习者能够在保证一定准确性的同时逐步提高流利度水平。此外,研究发现元认知策略的应用能够有效促进学习者对语言形式的关注,同时减少对流利度的负面影响。本研究的主要创新点在于提出了一个动态平衡模型,该模型强调根据学习者的个体差异调整任务设计,并将反馈机制融入口语训练全过程。这一研究成果为英语口语教学提供了新的理论依据和实践指导,有助于优化教学策略,提升学习者的综合语言能力。

Strategies for Balancing Fluency and Accuracy in English Learners' Oral Production

Abstract:English learners often encounter the dilemma between fluency and accuracy in oral ex pression, which has become an important issue in second language acquisition research. This study aims to explore how scientific balancing strategies can help learners enhance their oral proficiency, thereby achieving coordinated development of fluency and accuracy. Grounded in social constructivism theory and interactional linguistics fr amework, this research employs a mixed-methods approach, integrating questionnaire surveys, interviews, and oral test data analysis, to conduct an in-depth examination of the oral performance of 150 non-English major college students. The findings reveal a significant correlation between learners' oral fluency and accuracy, yet their developmental trajectories are not entirely synchronized. By introducing a "progressive task complexity" training model, learners are able to incrementally improve their fluency while maintaining a certain level of accuracy. Moreover, the study finds that the application of me tacognitive strategies can effectively promote learners' attention to linguistic forms without negatively impacting fluency. A key innovation of this research lies in the proposal of a dynamic balance model, which emphasizes adjusting task design according to individual learner differences and integrating feedback mechanisms throughout the oral training process. This research contributes new theoretical foundations and practical guidance for English oral teaching, optimizing instructional strategies and enhancing learners' overall language competence.
