Abstract
Feminist narratives in contemporary British literature, as a significant cultural phenomenon since the late 20th century, profoundly reflect the complexity and diversity of gender equality issues within the context of social transformation. This study focuses on contemporary British feminist narratives, examining their unique contributions to textual forms, thematic ex pressions, and social critique. By analyzing representative works of prominent authors, the research reveals how feminist narratives reconstruct traditional literary discourses and promote the dissemination of gender equality ideologies. Employing a methodology that combines close reading with theoretical criticism, this paper selects multiple representative works of contemporary British literature and interprets them systematically through a feminist theoretical fr amework, with particular attention to narrative strategies, the construction of gender identity, and the representation of social power relations. The findings indicate that contemporary British feminist narratives not only transcend conventional gender roles but also employ innovative narrative techniques to illustrate the awakening of female subjectivity and the diversification of gender identities. Moreover, these works effectively challenge established social norms through complex narrative structures and multi-layered thematic ex pressions, offering new perspectives on gender equality. A key innovation of this study lies in its examination of feminist narratives within the contexts of globalization and postmodernism, emphasizing their cross-cultural significance and contemporary value while expanding the theoretical horizons of feminist literary studies. The research outcomes not only deepen the understanding of contemporary British feminist narratives but also lay a foundation for further investigations in related fields.
