Firstly, the direct, indirect, and long-term economic benefits of forestry ecotourism development were analyzed, pointing out that it not only directly promotes the growth of local economic income, but also drives the development of related industries through transmission mechanisms, providing sustained development momentum for the local economy. Furthermore, the paper investigates the impact of forestry ecotourism development on local industrial structure, revealing its positive role in promoting the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, facilitating the formation and development of emerging industrial chains, and optimizing regional economic structure. These changes not only enhance the competitiveness of the local economy, but also lay the foundation for the diversified development of the local economy. In addition, the article also evaluates the social benefits of forestry ecotourism development, including creating and distributing employment opportunities, improving residents' income levels, and promoting the inheritance and innovation of local culture. The manifestation of these social benefits further enhances the comprehensive driving role of forestry ecotourism development in local economic development.
