Abstract

This paper deeply discusses the key role of leadership in enterprise crisis management. First of all, the importance of leadership in crisis management is clarified by elaborating the research background, current situation at home and abroad and the research purpose. Then, the paper defines the definition and core elements of leadership in detail, analyzes the various impacts of crisis on enterprise operations, and builds the theoretical fr amework of leadership in crisis management. The core part of the article focuses on the specific role of leadership in crisis identification and prevention and crisis response. In the stage of crisis identification and prevention, leadership is embodied in the leader's insight, cultural shaping ability, strategic judgment and the ability to promote the construction of crisis management system. In the crisis response stage, the leader's decision-making ability, internal and external communication ability, psychological guidance and encouragement, and innovative thinking in the crisis become the key. Through the analysis of two contrasting cases, the paper further reveals the examples of leadership in successful crisis management and the deepening of crisis caused by the lack of leadership, which provides valuable reference for practice.
