Abstract
In the process of project implementation, cost control is one of the key factors to ensure the economic benefit and enhance the competitiveness of the project. In recent years, lean management, as an efficient management method, has been widely used in the cost control of engineering projects, aiming to achieve the fine management of project costs by eliminating waste, optimizing processes, improving efficiency and other means. Based on lean management theory, this paper discusses its application strategy and practical effect in engineering project cost control, and provides valuable reference for engineering project managers. This paper expounds the core idea of lean management in engineering project cost control. Lean management emphasizes customer demand-oriented, eliminates all non-value-added activities through continuous improvement and process optimization, and realizes the optimal allocation of resources. In the engineering project cost control, this idea is reflected in the overall review and fine management of the project cost, and strive to reduce the cost to the maximum extent under the premise of ensuring the quality and schedule of the project. This paper analyzes the specific application strategy of lean management in project cost control. These strategies include but are not limited to: establishing a cost analysis system based on value stream, identifying and eliminating waste; Implement target cost management, and refine the cost target to each stage and link of the project; Strengthen supplier and contractor management and optimize procurement and contract execution processes; The introduction of information management means to improve the accuracy and timeliness of cost data; Establish a continuous improvement mechanism and encourage all staff to participate in cost control and optimization. This paper summarizes the practical effect of lean management in project cost control. Through the implementation of lean management, engineering projects can significantly improve the accuracy and effectiveness of cost control, reduce unnecessary expenses and waste, and improve the overall economic benefits of the project. At the same time, lean management can also promote the collaboration and innovation ability of the project team, improve the level of project management and market competitiveness. The cost control of engineering projects based on lean management is an efficient and scientific management method, which is of great significance for improving the economic benefits of engineering projects and promoting sustainable development.
