Clinical Application of X-rays in Fracture Diagnosis 

Abstract
Fractures are a common type of traumatic disease in clinical practice, and their accurate diagnosis is crucial for selecting appropriate treatment strategies. This study aimed to investigate the clinical application value and limitations of X-ray in fracture diagnosis and proposed optimization methods to enhance diagnostic accuracy. A retrospective analysis was conducted on the imaging data of 200 patients suspected of having fractures, with traditional X-ray examination serving as the primary diagnostic tool, complemented by comparative validation using CT and MRI results. The findings indicated that X-ray exhibits high sensitivity and rapid imaging capabilities in initial fracture screening, making it particularly suitable for acute trauma patients. However, it has certain limitations in identifying subtle fractures, occult fractures, and soft tissue injuries. Innovatively, this study proposed an improved approach based on image enhancement technology and multi-angle projection, which significantly increased the detection rate of complex fractures in X-ray imaging. The study concluded that X-ray remains a fundamental tool in fracture diagnosis but should be combined with other imaging techniques to compensate for its shortcomings, thereby providing more comprehensive evidence for clinical decision-making. This research provides significant reference for optimizing the diagnostic process of fractures.
