Abstract
As global resource shortages and environmental pollution become increasingly severe, the chemical industry, as a key pillar of the national economy, faces unprecedented challenges in achieving sustainable development. This study focuses on green chemical technology, exploring its critical role and application prospects in promoting the transformation of the chemical industry towards low-carbon and environmentally friendly directions. Through methods such as literature analysis, case studies, and technical evaluations, the latest advancements in green chemical technologies are systematically reviewed, along with their specific practices in energy conservation, emission reduction, waste treatment, and clean production. The findings indicate that green chemical technologies can significantly mitigate the negative environmental impacts of traditional chemical processes while effectively enhancing resource utilization efficiency and economic benefits. Particularly in areas such as catalyst development, renewable feedstock substitution, and process intensification, the application of innovative technologies provides essential support for the sustainable development of the chemical industry. This research constructs, for the first time, an evaluation system for green chemical technologies based on life cycle assessment and proposes a set of implementation pathways applicable to enterprises of different scales. The results demonstrate that by optimizing process design and promoting green technologies, the chemical industry has the potential to achieve a target of reducing carbon emission intensity by over 30%. It is concluded that green chemical technologies serve as a key driver for the sustainable development of the chemical industry. Future efforts should focus on increasing investment in technological research and development, improving policy support systems, and facilitating technology transfer and widespread application to contribute more significantly to global ecological civilization construction..
