Abstract
Small steel structure engineering ‌ has been widely used in modern construction because of its advantages such as short construction period, ‌ strong seismic performance, ‌ recyclable materials and so on. ‌ However, with the intensification of market competition, ‌ how to effectively control and optimize the engineering cost on the premise of ensuring the quality and safety of the project, ‌ has become the key to the small steel structure project management. ‌ This paper discusses the cost optimization strategy of small steel structure engineering, ‌ aims to put forward a series of effective measures, ‌ to improve the project economic benefits and market competitiveness. ‌‌ The importance of design stage in cost optimization of small steel structure engineering is emphasized in this paper. ‌ By optimizing the design scheme, ‌ reasonable selection of structure form, ‌ material specification and connection mode, ‌ can effectively reduce the material consumption and construction difficulty, ‌ thus control the project cost. ‌ In addition, ‌ the use of quota design, ‌ fine design and other advanced ideas, ‌ urge designers to meet the functional requirements at the same time, ‌ pay more attention to cost control, ‌ avoid design waste. ‌‌ The influence of material purchase and construction stage on project cost is analyzed. ‌ In terms of material procurement, ‌ can effectively reduce the procurement cost through market research, ‌ selecting reputable suppliers, ‌ strengthening material inventory management and other measures. ‌ In the construction phase, ‌ strictly control the design changes, ‌ optimize the construction scheme, ‌ improve the construction efficiency, ‌ can further reduce unnecessary expenses. ‌‌ The strategy of using advanced technology and management means to optimize the cost of small steel structure engineering is also put forward in this paper. ‌, for example, ‌ uses BIM technology for modeling and simulation analysis, ‌ to improve design accuracy and construction efficiency; ‌ using big data and artificial intelligence technology to predict material price fluctuations, ‌ to provide basis for purchasing decisions; ‌ Strengthen project management, ‌ rationally arrange construction schedule and resource allocation, ‌ ensure that the project is completed on time and in good quality. ‌‌ This paper summarizes the main strategies for cost optimization of small steel structure engineering, ‌ and points out that the implementation of these strategies requires the project team to have a high degree of professionalism and collaborative operation ability. ‌ At the same time, ‌ with the continuous progress of science and technology and the changes of market environment, ‌ project cost optimization strategy also needs to be constantly innovated and improved, ‌ to adapt to new demands and challenges. ‌
