Abstract
BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology, as an advanced digital management tool, plays an increasingly important role in the progress control of engineering projects. This paper deeply discusses the specific application of BIM technology in the progress control of engineering projects, and analyzes how it helps the project manager to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the progress control and ensure the timely delivery of the project. BIM technology integrates all the design, construction and operational information of the project by constructing a detailed three-dimensional building model, providing project managers with an intuitive and comprehensive view of the project. In terms of schedule control, BIM technology has the following significant advantages: First, by simulating the construction process and schedule planning, BIM can help managers identify potential time conflicts and resource bottlenecks in advance, so as to timely adjust the plan and avoid delays; Secondly, BIM platform supports multi-professional collaboration, enabling project teams to share real-time progress information, improve communication efficiency, and reduce misunderstandings and conflicts. In addition, BIM technology can also achieve dynamic tracking and visual display of progress, so that managers can intuitively understand the progress of the project, find problems and take measures in time.
