Abstract：As one of the representative works of Mr.Gu Hua, Furong Town vividly depicts the changes of Chinese rural society in a specific historical period with its profound social insight and rich group images of figures. As a key figure in the novel, Wang Qiushe's image is complex and multi-faceted, which not only reflects the ups and downs of personal destiny, but also reflects the intensification of social contradictions. This paper focuses on the image of Wang Qiushe in Gu Hua's novel Furong Town. It gives a comprehensive overview of his basic information, the position in the novel, and the relationship with other characters. Furthermore, the article deeply analyzes the root causes of Wang Qiu's tragedy, including the influence of social and historical background, the interweaving of personal character and fate, the complexity and alienation of interpersonal relationship, and the conflict between culture and values. In terms of ex pression, the article expounds in detail the display of Wang Qiu's life dilemma, the process of moral bankruptcy, the flash and disappearance of human brilliance, and the social criticism and reflection contained therein. Finally, this paper discusses the tragic warning of Wang Qiushe to personal fate, the reflection on social history and the enlightenment of literary creation, aiming to reveal the profound significance of his image in Furong Town and its literary value.
