Abstract

This paper discusses the forest fire risk assessment and prevention strategy based on GIS (Geographic Information System) technology. By integrating climate, terrain, vegetation, human activities and other data, and using GIS spatial analysis function, this paper builds a comprehensive forest fire risk assessment model. This model not only realizes the accurate identification and weight allocation of fire risk factors, but also realizes the visualization of the spatial distribution of fire risk through spatial analysis and model construction, providing intuitive and scientific decision support for decision makers. Further, this paper discusses the application of GIS technology in fire emergency response, including real-time monitoring of fire dynamics, rapid location of fire sources, optimization of resource allocation, and decision support based on risk assessment. These applications significantly improve the efficiency and accuracy of fire emergency response, and provide a strong guarantee for timely fire control and loss reduction. In terms of prevention strategies, this paper puts forward comprehensive measures such as GIS-based fire risk assessment and regionalization, monitoring and early warning system construction, fire prevention facilities planning and optimization, and public education and publicity. Through the development of fire risk classification standards, the construction of risk assessment index system, the layout of sensor networks, the application of remote sensing technology and artificial intelligence prediction models, the optimization of fire prevention facilities and the strengthening of public education and other means, this paper aims to build a comprehensive and multi-level forest fire prevention and control system to effectively prevent and control forest fires.
