ABSTRACT

With the acceleration of urbanization and the diversification of commercial formats, large-scale commercial complexes have gradually become an essential component of modern cities. The design and operation management of their water supply and drainage systems play a critical role in achieving building functionality, conserving resources, and protecting the environment. This study focuses on large-scale commercial complexes and delves into key issues related to the design and operation management of their water supply and drainage systems, aiming to optimize system performance, enhance water resource utilization efficiency, and minimize environmental impact. Based on field surveys and data analysis, typical commercial complex cases were selected, and the characteristics of functional zoning were integrated. By employing fluid mechanics simulation and system optimization methods, a comprehensive analysis was conducted on the layout, equipment selection, and operational strategies of the water supply and drainage systems. The results indicate that through refined design and intelligent management, the reliability and cost-effectiveness of the system can be significantly improved. For instance, optimizing the pipeline network layout can reduce energy consumption by approximately 15%, while the application of intelligent control technologies decreases water wastage by over 20%. Additionally, this study proposes a big-data-based operation monitoring and fault diagnosis model capable of real-time system status evaluation and early warning of potential risks, providing scientific support for maintenance and operation decision-making. The innovation of this study lies in the deep integration of building functional requirements with the characteristics of water supply and drainage systems, proposing design methods and management strategies adaptable to complex scenarios, thereby offering theoretical support and technical references for the sustainable development of similar buildings.
