Strategies for Stimulating and Cultivating Learning Motivation in Elementary School Children

Abstract

  Learning motivation is an important factor affecting the academic achievement and lifelong development of primary school children, and its stimulation and cultivation has become the core issue in the field of education. Based on the current social emphasis on quality education and the particularity of primary school children's psychological development, this study aims to explore effective strategies for stimulating and cultivating learning motivation. Primary school children's learning motivation is influenced by many factors, such as intrinsic interest, external reward, teacher guidance and family support, among which the cultivation of intrinsic interest is the key. This study innovatively proposed a set of hierarchical motivation cultivation model, including specific strategies such as situation creation, goal setting, feedback reinforcement and peer cooperation, and verified its effectiveness through a six-month intervention experiment. Research shows that this model can significantly improve students' autonomous learning ability and positive emotional experience. The main contribution of this study lies in the close combination of theoretical research and practical application, providing a strong operational guidance scheme for front-line teachers, and laying a foundation for future related research.
