Abstract: This article aims to explore the learning difficulties of primary school students and their impact on academic performance, and analyze effective intervention strategies. Firstly, the concept, types, and impacts of learning difficulties were elaborated. Next, the relationship and underlying mechanisms between learning difficulties and academic performance were analyzed. Finally, methods for evaluating learning difficulties, intervention strategies, and key links for improving academic performance were proposed. Research has shown that learning difficulties can have a negative impact on students' academic performance, and effective intervention strategies can help students overcome difficulties and improve academic performance. Therefore, for students with learning difficulties, timely intervention measures should be taken, such as providing personalized guidance, strengthening extracurricular reading, etc., to help them overcome learning difficulties and achieve better academic performance. This article provides effective intervention strategies and methods to improve academic performance for educators through in-depth research on primary school students' learning difficulties, which helps to improve students' learning quality and educational effectiveness.
