Abstract
This paper first gives a comprehensive overview of green building materials, clarifying its definition, classification and unique characteristics of environmental protection, energy efficiency and renewability, which make green building materials have significant advantages in reducing environmental pollution, reducing energy consumption and promoting resource recycling. Discuss the specific application of green building materials in civil engineering construction, including the key construction links such as wall, roof and ground. In these links, the use of green building materials can not only improve the overall performance of the building, but also effectively reduce the environmental impact in the construction process. The application of green building materials in civil engineering construction also faces many challenges. Among them, the initial cost and return on investment problems, technology integration and construction complexity, supply chain and material availability, and the imperfect standards and specifications are particularly prominent. These challenges partly limit the widespread use of green building materials. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a series of improvement countermeasures. First, through cost-benefit analysis and policy incentives and subsidies, optimize the cost and investment return of green building materials, and reduce the use threshold. Secondly, to strengthen technology integration and simplification of construction, to improve the feasibility and convenience of green building materials in the construction process. Thirdly, through supply chain optimization and material standardization, to ensure the stable supply and quality assurance of green building materials. Finally, to strengthen the application and promotion of green building materials in the field of civil engineering through the guidance of demonstration projects and experience promotion.
