Abstract：Through in-depth analysis of Lao She's Teahouse, this study discusses the social change and human struggle reflected in it. We review the history and social background of The Teahouse, including the political turmoil, economic transformation, cultural conflicts and the transformation of social values in modern Chinese society. Subsequently, we give an overview of the plot of Teahouse, introduce the main characters and their fates, and explore the main conflicts and events in the plot. In terms of social change, we analyze in detail the reflection of political unrest, the impact of economic transformation, the manifestation of cultural conflicts, and the transformation of social values in the Teahouse. Through these analyses, we reveal how the Teahouse vividly shows the complex face and profound changes of the society at that time. In terms of human struggle, we discuss the choice and struggle between the characters in Teahouse in survival and dignity, morality and interest, individual and collective, and ideal and reality. These struggles not only reflected the complexity and richness of human nature, but also reflected the contradictions and conflicts of the society at that time. We also have an in-depth discussion on the artistic characteristics and ex pression techniques of the Teahouse. It includes its profound sense of historical reality, the delicate outline of historical background, the profound depiction of character group images, the ingenious use of symbols and me taphors, and the innovation and breakthrough of dramatic structure. These characteristics and techniques make Teahouse a work with profound thought and artistic value. This study aims to explore the important position and value in the history of modern Chinese literature through a thorough analysis of the social change and human struggle in Teahouse.
