The poem revolves around the love story between Tang Xuanzong and Yang Guifei, and through artistic processing and creation, showcases the love, hatred, and enmity between the two. Bai Juyi was a famous writer of the Tang Dynasty, and his poetry works were widely circulated and loved by people. The inspiration for the creation of "Song of Everlasting Sorrow" came from his travel experience with friends. He was deeply moved by the love story between Emperor Xuanzong of Tang and Yang Guifei, and decided to narrate this historical event through poetry. The poem mainly depicts two historical figures, Tang Xuanzong and Yang Guifei. Tang Xuanzong was an important emperor of the Tang Dynasty, and Yang Guifei was his favored concubine. The love story between two people is the core of the poem, showcasing the beauty and tragedy of love. The historical background of this poem includes the Tang Dynasty era environment, the author Bai Juyi's personal experience, and the love story between Tang Xuanzong and Yang Guifei.
