Abstract
This paper mainly introduces the application of CAD technology in machining, focusing on the optimization of machining toolpaths based on CAD technology. First, we introduce the basics and development of CAD technology and the advantages in machining. Secondly, we introduce the basic functions of CAD software and elaborate on the application of CAD technology in machining, including database management, component modeling and cutting simulation simulation. Finally, we introduce toolpath optimization for machining based on CAD technology, which introduces toolpath planning, cutting simulation simulation, and toolpath optimization algorithms, respectively. Through the research in this paper, we found that the toolpath optimization of machining based on CAD technology can improve the machining efficiency and quality of mechanical parts. Toolpath planning, cutting simulation and toolpath optimization algorithms are at the heart of CAD-based toolpath optimization for machining. Under the guidance of CAD technology, the machining industry will enter a new stage of development and be more widely used in the future.
