摘 要
《红楼梦》作为中国古典文学的巅峰之作，其人物命名蕴含着丰富的文化意蕴和深层符号意义。本研究以符号学理论为切入点，结合索绪尔的语言符号学和皮尔斯的三元符号学框架，系统探讨《红楼梦》中人物命名的文化内涵及其象征功能。研究旨在揭示人物命名如何通过语言符号传递作者的思想意图，并反映社会文化背景与审美价值。通过对小说中典型人物名字的语义分析、语音特征考察以及文化寓意解读，发现命名方式不仅体现了音、形、义的巧妙结合，还构建了多层次的象征体系，如谐音隐喻、典故化用和意象叠加等手法。研究结果表明，《红楼梦》的人物命名具有高度的符号建构性，既反映了个体性格命运，又映射了整体社会结构与伦理观念。本研究创新性地将符号学理论应用于古典文学研究，拓展了传统文本分析的视角，为理解《红楼梦》的艺术成就提供了新的维度，同时为跨文化文学研究提供了方法论借鉴。

A Semiotic Interpretation of Character Naming in *Dream of the Red Chamber*

Abstract
Dream of the Red Chamber, as the pinnacle of Chinese classical literature, contains rich cultural connotations and profound symbolic significance in its character naming. This study explores the cultural implications and symbolic functions of character names in Dream of the Red Chamber from the perspective of semiotics theory, integrating Saussure's linguistic semiotics and Peirce's triadic semiotic fr amework. The aim is to reveal how character names convey the author's ideological intentions through linguistic symbols while reflecting the socio-cultural context and aesthetic values of the time. By conducting a semantic analysis of typical character names, examining their phonetic characteristics, and interpreting their cultural symbolism, it is found that the naming conventions not only demonstrate a skillful combination of sound, form, and meaning but also construct a multi-layered symbolic system through techniques such as homophonic me taphor, allusion to classical references, and superimposition of imagery. The results indicate that the character naming in Dream of the Red Chamber exhibits a high degree of semiotic construction, reflecting both individual personalities and fates as well as the overall social structure and ethical concepts of the era. Innovatively applying semiotics theory to classical literary research, this study broadens the traditional perspective of textual analysis, offering new insights into the artistic achievements of Dream of the Red Chamber and providing methodological reference for cross-cultural literary studies.
