Abstract

  In recent years, the application of virtual reality technology in medical training has become increasingly widespread, offering new possibilities for enhancing the quality and efficiency of medical education. This study aims to explore the specific applications and effectiveness of virtual reality technology in medical training by combining systematic literature review with empirical research, analyzing its roles in surgical simulation, clinical skills training, and patient communication competence development. A total of 120 medical students were selected as experimental subjects and randomly divided into a traditional teaching group and a virtual reality teaching group. The learning outcomes of the two groups were compared through a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. The results indicate that virtual reality technology significantly improves learners' mastery of operational skills and knowledge internalization while enhancing the realism and immersion of the learning experience. Additionally, this technology effectively reduces training costs and provides technical support for telemedicine education. The innovation of this study lies in its first application of virtual reality technology in comprehensive medical training scenarios, with multi-dimensional evaluations confirming its effectiveness. Its primary contribution is the introduction of an efficient, flexible, and scalable training model to the field of medical education, providing theoretical foundations and practical references for the future application and development of related technologies.
