Abstract
  Plant secondary me tabolites, characterized by their complex chemical structures and diverse biological activities, exhibit significant potential applications in the pharmaceutical field. This study aims to systematically investigate their value in drug development and elucidate their mechanisms of action. In light of the continuous global increase in demand for natural medicines and the potential side effects associated with synthetic drugs, this research integrates literature analysis with experimental validation to focus on the pharmacological properties of representative secondary me tabolites, including flavonoids, terpenoids, and alkaloids. The results demonstrate that these compounds possess remarkable effects in anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial, and anticancer activities, with some substances functioning through the modulation of signaling pathways or targeting specific proteins. Furthermore, this study innovatively proposes a screening strategy based on me tabolomics, which can more efficiently identify plant secondary me tabolites with potential pharmaceutical value. The application of this method not only enhances research efficiency but also provides novel insights for drug discovery. In conclusion, the extensive application prospects of plant secondary me tabolites in the pharmaceutical field have been further substantiated, and their in-depth exploration is expected to make important contributions to human health.
