Optimization Research on Supply Chain Management in Engineering Projects

Abstract

 Engineering project supply chain management, as a critical component of modern engineering management, plays a significant role in enhancing project efficiency, reducing costs, and strengthening competitiveness. In the face of intensified globalization and complexity, engineering project supply chains encounter volatile demands, resource constraints, and technological challenges, necessitating systematic optimization strategies to address uncertainties. This study aims to construct an optimization fr amework for engineering project supply chain management by integrating advanced management theories and technical approaches. A combination of qualitative analysis and quantitative modeling is employed in this research. Firstly, a thorough examination of the key components of engineering project supply chains is conducted to identify core factors influencing efficiency. Secondly, a dynamic simulation model based on system dynamics theory is developed to simulate supply chain operational states under various scenarios. Finally, the effectiveness of the model is validated through case studies, and targeted improvement measures are proposed. The findings indicate that optimizing resource allocation, enhancing information sharing, and incorporating intelligent decision-support systems can significantly improve the overall performance of engineering project supply chains. The innovation of this study lies in its integration of dynamic simulation with real-world engineering contexts, overcoming the limitations of traditional static analysis, while proposing robust and actionable optimization solutions. The research not only provides theoretical support for engineering project supply chain management but also offers practical guidance for enterprises, contributing to the advancement of the industry towards greater efficiency and intelligence.
