Clinical Characteristics Analysis of Skin Toxicity Associated with Targeted Therapy for Lung Cancer 

Abstract
Lung cancer targeted therapy has significantly improved patient survival outcomes; however, associated skin toxicities have become a critical factor affecting patients' quality of life. This study aimed to systematically analyze the clinical characteristics and potential influencing factors of skin toxicities related to lung cancer targeted therapy, providing evidence for optimizing management strategies. A total of 456 non-small cell lung cancer patients who received epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKIs) from 2018 to 2023 were included, and their clinical data, laboratory indicators, and skin toxicity manifestations were retrospectively analyzed. Patient quality of life was also assessed through questionnaire surveys. The results showed that the incidence of skin toxicity was 78.9%, with the main manifestations being rash, pruritus, and paronychia, which were significantly associated with drug dosage, treatment duration, and patient baseline characteristics. Further analysis revealed that early intervention measures could effectively alleviate symptoms and improve patients' quality of life. Innovatively, this study established a correlation model between skin toxicity grading and quality of life scores, highlighting the importance of individualized management and offering new insights for the development of precise intervention protocols in clinical practice.
