Strategies for Cultivating Students' Autonomous Learning Ability in Primary School Chinese Reading Instruction
Abstract: This study takes primary school Chinese reading teaching as the starting point to explore how to effectively enhance students' autonomous learning ability through scientific teaching strategies. Based on the constructivist theory and the theory of multiple intelligences, combined with the current problems in primary school Chinese reading teaching, such as insufficient student initiative and single learning methods, a series of targeted strategies are proposed, including creating a situational reading environment, guiding students to engage in cooperative exploration, using information technology to optimize the teaching process, and constructing a personalized evaluation system. The study used a combination of questionnaire survey, classroom observation, and case analysis methods to select fifth grade students from three primary schools in a certain region as research subjects, and systematically collected and analyzed relevant data. The results showed that after implementing the above strategies, students' reading interest significantly improved, their awareness of self-directed learning significantly enhanced, and their reading comprehension and critical thinking abilities were effectively developed.
