Abstract

  Zinc alloy, as an important lightweight me tal material, is widely used in aerospace, automotive manufacturing, electronics, and electrical appliances. However, zinc alloy is susceptible to corrosion during practical applications, which seriously affects its service life and reliability. To thoroughly investigate the corrosion mechanism of zinc alloy and propose effective anti-corrosion measures, this study systematically examined the corrosion behavior of zinc alloy under different environmental conditions using electrochemical testing, surface analysis, and microstructure characterization. By comparing the electrochemical properties of pure zinc and zinc alloy in simulated seawater, acidic solutions, and atmospheric environments, the primary influencing factors of zinc alloy corrosion were revealed, including chloride ion attack, oxide film disruption, and localized galvanic effects. Based on these findings, a comprehensive anti-corrosion strategy centered on passivation treatment, coating protection, and alloy composition optimization was proposed. The research demonstrated that specially processed zinc alloy samples exhibited significantly enhanced corrosion resistance in various corrosive media, with composite coating technology extending the corrosion resistance lifespan of zinc alloy by more than three times. This study not only provides theoretical basis and technical support for the anti-corrosion design of zinc alloys but also offers significant reference for material selection and application in related fields, showcasing substantial academic value and practical application prospects.
