Abstract 
With the transformation of global energy structure and the rapid development of renewable energy, power electronics technology plays an increasingly prominent role in the grid connection of renewable energy. This paper first introduces the research background and significance, emphasizes the key role of power electronics technology in improving the efficiency of renewable energy grid connection and ensuring the stability of power grid, and reviews the current research situation at home and abroad, and points out the shortcomings of current research. Then, the basic knowledge of power electronics technology is described in detail, including the principle of various converters, control strategy and the application in the grid connection of renewable energy. At the same time, the grid connection of renewable energy is summarized, and its structure, working principle and key technologies are introduced. On this basis, this paper focuses on the application principle of power electronics technology in renewable energy grid connection, including photovoltaic power generation grid connection, wind power generation grid connection, energy storage system grid connection, micro-grid and distributed energy grid connection, and looks forward to the development trend of power electronics technology in renewable energy grid connection. In the application analysis part, this paper introduces the specific application cases of power electronics technology in the grid connection of renewable energy, such as the optimal design of photovoltaic inverter, the precise control of wind power converter, the efficient management of energy storage system, and the intelligent scheduling of microgrid and distributed energy. However, the paper also points out some problems that power electronics technology faces in the grid connection of renewable energy, including technical application challenges, grid stability and security challenges, economic and cost considerations, and standardization and interoperability issues. To solve these problems, this paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures, such as strengthening technological innovation and optimization, improving power grid stability and security, carrying out economic and cost-benefit analysis, and promoting standardization and interoperability construction. Finally, this paper summarizes the research results and looks forward to the future research direction.
