Abstract
With the rapid development of information technology, its application in the field of education is becoming more and more extensive, especially in the teaching of physical education. The application of information technology not only changes the traditional teaching mode, but also provides new possibilities for improving the teaching quality and students' learning effect. In the introduction of information technology and physical education, the article defines the basic concept of information technology, and probes into its types and characteristics. At the same time, the article also analyzes the teaching ob jectives and methods of physical education, which lays a foundation for further exploration of the application of information technology. When discussing the application mode of information technology in physical education, the paper analyzes the digitization of teaching resources, the intelligentization of teaching process, the network of teaching interaction and the datatization of teaching evaluation in detail. These application models show how information technology can be effectively integrated into physical education teaching to improve the interaction, flexibility and individuation of teaching. This paper further analyzes the influence of information technology on the teaching of physical education specialty. In terms of teaching content, the application of information technology enriches teaching resources and realizes the individuation and differentiation of teaching content.
