Abstract
With the increasingly serious global plastic pollution problem, biodegradable plastics as an environmentally friendly alternative material, its application prospect in chemical engineering packaging materials has attracted wide attention. First of all, this paper introduces the background and significance of the research in the introduction part, summarizes the research status at home and abroad in the field of biodegradable plastics, and clarifies the purpose of the research. The introduction of biodegradable plastics describes in detail the definition and classification of biodegradable plastics, and discusses their biodegradation mechanism and environmental impact, as well as the current situation of market demand. In the chapter of the status and challenges of chemical engineering packaging materials, this paper analyzes the types, characteristics and environmental problems of traditional packaging materials, discusses the development trend of chemical engineering packaging materials, and the new requirements for sustainable development of packaging materials. The chapter on preparation processes provides an in-depth discussion of raw material sources for biodegradable plastics, including renewable resources and microbial fermentation products, as well as synthetic methods such as polymerization reactions and blending and compounding techniques. In addition, the processing technology and performance optimization methods of biodegradable plastics were also discussed.
