Abstract:This paper takes the theory and application of wavelet transform in digital signal processing as the research topic, and discusses the basic theory, algorithm and implementation of wavelet transform, as well as its application in digital signal processing. Firstly, the research background and purpose are introduced, and the current research situation at home and abroad is summarized. Secondly, the basic knowledge of wavelet analysis is explained in detail, and the selection and properties of wavelet function, as well as the relationship between continuous wavelet transform and discrete wavelet transform are discussed. Then, the principles and implementation methods of continuous wavelet transform algorithm, discrete wavelet transform algorithm, fast wavelet transform algorithm and wavelet packet transform algorithm are introduced. Then, the applications of wavelet transform in signal analysis, image processing and data compression are discussed, and corresponding case studies are given. Next, the challenges of wavelet transform in digital signal processing are analyzed, including selecting suitable wavelet basis function, processing non-stationary signal, program implementation and computational complexity. Finally, the development strategy of wavelet transform in digital signal processing is proposed, including algorithm improvement and optimization, model selection and design, and application expansion and deepening. The research in this paper will further promote the application and development of wavelet transform in the field of digital signal processing.
