Abstract

This paper deeply studies the comprehensive impact of rural e-commerce development on farmers' income structure, and reveals the key role of rural e-commerce in promoting rural economic development and improving farmers' income through the combination of theoretical analysis and empirical research. The study found that by expanding the sales channels of agricultural products, rural e-commerce enables farmers to directly connect with a broader market, reducing intermediate links, and thus significantly reducing transaction costs. At the same time, the rise of rural e-commerce has promoted the optimization and upgrading of the agricultural industrial structure, driven the development of the rural economy, and created more employment opportunities and income sources for farmers. Specifically, rural e-commerce not only promotes the online sales of traditional agricultural products, but also stimulates the vitality of rural characteristic industries, such as handicrafts, rural tourism, etc., further enriching the income structure of farmers. However, in the process of rapid development, rural e-commerce is also facing many challenges, such as lagging infrastructure construction, shortage of talents, insufficient product standardization and branding, financial support and policy environment to be improved. In response to the above problems, this paper puts forward a series of targeted policy recommendations, including strengthening the rural network, electricity and other infrastructure construction, increasing talent training and introduction, promoting the standardization and branding of agricultural products, and optimizing the financial support and policy environment. These proposals aim to build a more complete and healthy rural e-commerce ecosystem, providing a strong guarantee for the sustainable development of rural e-commerce and the steady improvement of farmers' income.
