Abstract: Under the background of globalization, English teaching is no longer limited to the teaching of language knowledge, but pays more attention to the cultivation of cross-cultural communication ability. Cross-cultural communication competence refers to the ability to communicate effectively under different cultural backgrounds, which is of great significance to improve the adaptability and competitiveness of English learners in the international environment. The purpose of this paper is to explore the importance of intercultural communicative competence training in English teaching, its implementation strategies and its impact on students' future development, and to put forward corresponding teaching suggestions. The importance of cultivating intercultural communicative competence in English teaching cannot be ignored. With the further development of globalization, the communication between different cultures is becoming more and more frequent, and intercultural communication ability has become a necessary ability for people. In English teaching, focusing on the cultivation of cross-cultural communication ability can help students better understand language phenomena under different cultural backgrounds, and enhance their cultural sensitivity and cross-cultural awareness. This will not only improve students' language skills, but also broaden their international perspective and lay a solid foundation for future international exchanges. The implementation strategies of intercultural communicative competence training in English teaching need to be diversified. Teachers can cultivate students' intercultural communication ability by introducing cultural elements, organizing intercultural communication activities and using multimedia teaching. For example, teachers can introduce cultural customs and historical backgrounds of different countries in class, and guide students to make comparison and analysis. At the same time, teachers can also organize students to conduct cross-cultural communication activities such as role playing and simulated dialogue, so that students can experience the communication methods under different cultural backgrounds in practice. In addition, teachers can also use multimedia teaching technology to show the cultural customs of different countries through video, audio and other ways to enhance students' intuitive feelings of different cultures. The cultivation of intercultural communication competence in English teaching has a profound impact on students' future development. Students with intercultural communication skills can more easily adapt to the working and living environment under different cultural backgrounds, and better communicate and cooperate with international friends. This not only broadens students' career opportunities, but also improves their quality of life and happiness. The cultivation of intercultural communicative competence is of great significance in English teaching. Teachers should focus on cultivating students' intercultural communication ability, adopt diversified teaching strategies, and improve students' language application ability and intercultural awareness. At the same time, students should also actively participate in cross-cultural communication activities, enhance their cross-cultural communication skills, and make full preparation for future international exchanges.
