Abstract：This paper makes an in-depth analysis of Xu Zhimo's Selected Poems, and discusses its romantic feelings and the characteristics of modern poetics, as well as its influence on modern Chinese poetry. The introduction section introduces the research background and significance, and clarifies the research purpose and content. Chapter 2 provides a brief introduction of the work, including the historical background, writing process and thematic classification, laying the foundation for in-depth analysis. The third chapter discusses the romantic emotions in Xu Zhimo's poems, including the carols of love, nature worship, self-pursuit and personality liberation, while discussing its unique transcendence. The fourth chapter analyzes the embodiment of modern elements of poetics in Xu Zhimo's poems, including the modernity of language, the reconstruction of images, the innovation of emotional ex pression and form structure, and summarizes its contribution to modern poetics. The conclusion section summarizes the views of the full text, emphasizing the unique charm of Xu Zhimo's poetry and its contribution to the development of modern Chinese poetry.
