Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the artistic characteristics and development process of Liuyang chrysanthemum stone carving. Liuyang chrysanthemum stone carving, as a treasure of the traditional Chinese stone carving art, is famous for its unique chrysanthemum texture and exquisite technology. This paper first reviews the history and origin of the chrysanthemum stone carving in Liuyang, including the discovery and utilization of the chrysanthemum stone, the origin of the chrysanthemum stone carving and its development in different historical stages. Then, the article analyzes in detail the artistic characteristics of Liuyang chrysanthemum stone carving, including the excavation of traditional themes, the innovation of modern themes, the diversification of creative techniques, and the combination of art and practicality. These artistic features not only reflect the unique charm of Liuyang chrysanthemum stone carving, but also show its innovative spirit of advancing with The Times. In terms of the inheritance and protection of Liuyang chrysanthemum stone carving, the paper discusses the inheritance of traditional skills, the implementation of protection measures, the innovation and development of inheritance and the influence of cultural exchanges at home and abroad.
