As an important development direction of modern power system, smart grid provides strong support for the sustainable development of power industry with its efficient, flexible and intelligent characteristics. Among them, demand response management technology, as one of the core technologies of smart grid, is of great significance for optimizing resource allocation, improving grid operation efficiency, reducing energy consumption and reducing carbon emissions. In this paper, the design and application of demand response management technology in smart grid will be deeply discussed in order to provide reference for the research and practice in related fields. Demand response management technology of smart grid is a technical means to balance power supply and demand by adjusting power demand. Based on advanced information and communication technology and data analysis technology, it monitors the supply and demand of the power market in real time, and formulates and implements corresponding demand response strategies according to the needs of users and the operating state of the power system.
