Abstract
Hamlet is an outstanding tragedy created by William Shakespeare, which not only showcases the author's extraordinary literary talent, but also deeply reflects the complexity and contradictions of human nature. This work explores eternal themes such as revenge, morality, and love through the story of Danish Prince Hamlet seeking revenge for his father. Shakespeare, a literary giant of the English Renaissance, won the reputation of "world literary giant" for his outstanding theatrical and poetic works. Hamlet is precisely his pinnacle of creation, hailed as the "play of drama". In the play, Hamlet's father was murdered by his brother Claudius, and his mother, Gertrude, later married Claudius. After learning the truth, Hamlet fell into deep contradiction and struggle. He not only had to face complex court struggles, but also endured inner pain and struggle. Hamlet, as the soul figure of the entire play, is deeply influenced by humanistic ideas and has profound reflections on life and morality. Claudius was an ambitious, cunning conspirator who sacrificed everything for his own benefit. Ophelia, a pure and kind woman, her love and fate are closely linked to Hamlet. Shakespeare used rich and vivid language in this work, vividly portraying the complex inner world of the characters and the tense atmosphere of the plot through personalized and colloquial ex pressions, as well as contrasting language and long inner monologues. Shakespeare's plays have diverse styles, rich emotional ex pression, innovative language use, unique dramatic structure, and complex character shaping. These characteristics make his works highly artistic and profound in thought.
