Abstract
"Pipa Xing" is a masterpiece of the famous Tang Dynasty poet Bai Juyi, which contains profound cultural heritage and strong emotional resonance. Bai Juyi, with his outstanding literary talent, depicted the unfortunate experiences of pipa women and expressed his own feelings towards the bleakness of the world. Bai Juyi was an outstanding realist poet of the Tang Dynasty, known for his sincere emotions and approachable language in his works. The Pipa Xing is a concentrated reflection of his characteristic. This poem is written by Bai Juyi during his exile in Xunyang City, when he encountered a skilled pipa woman. After listening to her playing and recounting her own background, he was inspired to write it. The poem deeply reflects the sentiment of "being both fallen from the ends of the earth" and expresses sympathy for the fate of the unfortunate. At the same time, Bai Juyi also expressed his disappointment and frustration in his political career, as well as his criticism of the reality of feudal society, through the experience of a pipa girl. Bai Juyi uses delicate brushstrokes in his poetry to vividly depict the rhythm, emotions, and integration with natural scenery of pipa music.
