Abstract
"Shui Diao Ge Tou: When Will the Bright Moon Come" is one of the representative works of Su Shi, a literary figure of the Northern Song Dynasty. With its unique artistic charm and profound philosophy of life, it has left a profound mark in the history of Chinese literature. Su Shi, with the courtesy name Zizhan and the courtesy name Dongpo Jushi, was a literary giant during the Northern Song Dynasty. He was skilled in both poetry and prose, achieving remarkable accomplishments. This poem was created when Su Shi was demoted due to political disappointment, during the Mid Autumn Festival. Facing the bright moon, Su Shi used the scenery to express his deep longing for his family and affection, as well as his profound understanding of the impermanence of life. In the poem, Su Shi used the bright moon as a clue and unfolded beautiful natural paintings one by one. By depicting the blending of the bright moon, moonlight, and scenery, he displayed the harmony between nature and life. At the same time, he utilized the desc ription of natural beauty to endow the bright moon with rich symbolic significance, making it a medium for expressing life philosophy. The theme of "Shui Diao Ge Tou: When Will the Bright Moon Come" is rich and profound, including longing for family and affection, insight into the impermanence of life, a broad and detached mind, and the pursuit of eternity and beauty. These ideas not only reflect Su Shi's unique philosophy of life, but also provide valuable inspiration for future literary creation.
