Abstract
This paper aims to explore the relationship between the imagined space and cultural ideas in "A Dream of Red Mansions." Through analysis of the novel's spatial desc riptions and cultural themes, this paper examines the interaction between imagined space and cultural ideas. The literary criticism approach is employed, utilizing literature and analysis methods. The research conclusion indicates that through its rich imagined space and profound cultural ideas, "A Dream of Red Mansions" presents the essence and profound connotation of traditional Chinese culture. Furthermore, this study reveals the close relationship between imagined space and cultural ideas, providing more opportunities for readers to think and understand from different perspectives, and also offers possibilities for further research. The innovation of this study lies in the integration of imagined space and cultural ideas, revealing the inherent connection between the two through in-depth analysis of relevant desc riptions, and providing a new perspective for the study of ancient Chinese literature.
