The literary aesthetic value and modern interpretation of Journey to the West
Abstract: Journey to the West is one of the famous classics in the history of Chinese literature. Its broad work space shows profound philosophical thinking, vivid characters, rich cultural connotation and universal values. Journey to the West is inherited and carried forward in the era of digitalization and Internet communication, while showing the unique modernity of traditional Chinese culture. As a representative of Chinese excellent traditional culture, the cultural connotation and universal value of Journey to the West still have practical significance. In our daily life, we can promote social harmony and stability, guided by its values such as tolerance, cooperation and conscience. It is of positive significance for promoting social and cultural development, enhancing cultural confidence, attaching importance to the inheritance of excellent culture, and deepening the dissemination of Chinese culture at home and abroad. Therefore, we should carry forward the cultural spirit and universal value of Journey to the West, make it become a banner of Chinese culture to go to the world, and play a more positive role in the diversity and exchange of world culture.
