The Role of Biochemical Marker Monitoring in Diabetes Management 

Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is a global chronic me tabolic disease, the management of which is closely associated with the monitoring of biochemical indicators. This study aims to investigate the roles of key biochemical parameters, including blood glucose, glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), and insulin resistance index, in diabetes management, as well as to evaluate their impacts on disease progression and complication prevention. A prospective cohort study was conducted involving 300 patients with type 2 diabetes, wherein these indicators were regularly monitored, and data were analyzed in conjunction with lifestyle interventions and pharmacological treatments. The results demonstrated that dynamic monitoring of HbA1c significantly improved the rate of achieving glycemic control targets while reducing the risk of microvascular complications; the insulin resistance index was positively correlated with changes in patient body weight, highlighting its importance as a reference for personalized treatment. Additionally, this study proposes a novel diabetes management model based on comprehensive multi-indicator assessments, which can more accurately predict individualized treatment outcomes. The findings indicate that systematic biochemical indicator monitoring not only optimizes diabetes management strategies but also provides a scientific basis for clinical decision-making, thereby improving long-term patient prognosis. This discovery offers new insights for enhancing the diabetes prevention and control system.
