Abstract: This article aims to analyze the impact of trade protectionism on the international trade pattern and its corresponding strategies. Firstly, the research background, purpose, and current research status at home and abroad were introduced. Secondly, it analyzed the international trade pattern in the era of globalization, the definition and types of trade protectionism, and the current global trend of trade protectionism. Next, the impact of trade protectionism on the economic, political, social, and environmental aspects of international trade patterns was explored. Finally, strategies such as the multilateral trading system and coordination and cooperation mechanisms, economic adaptation and structural adjustment, and strengthening international trade rules and regulations were proposed to address the adjustment of international trade patterns caused by trade protectionism. Trade protectionism is an important phenomenon in global trade and has had a profound impact on the international trade pattern. Through the study of trade protectionism, we can better understand the development trends and response strategies of international trade, providing useful references for the stability and development of the global economy.
