Abstract

  Oral mucosal diseases are a common category of disorders with complex and diverse pathogenic mechanisms involving genetic, immunological, and environmental factors. To gain deeper insights into the pathogenesis and explore more effective therapeutic approaches, this study employed an integrative multidisciplinary methodology encompassing molecular biology, immunology, and clinical medicine. By collecting and analyzing a large number of clinical samples in conjunction with gene sequencing technologies, we identified specific gene variations closely associated with certain types of oral mucosal diseases, providing a novel perspective on understanding these conditions from a genetic standpoint. Concurrently, our investigation into immunological mechanisms revealed that cytokine network imbalance plays a critical role in disease progression, particularly highlighting the impact of Th17/Treg cell ratio dysregulation on inflammatory responses. Based on these mechanistic findings, we explored various innovative treatment strategies, including targeted drug development and personalized therapy design. Experimental results demonstrated that small molecule inhibitors targeting specific signaling pathways effectively alleviated symptoms and improved patient outcomes. Additionally, photodynamic therapy combined with topical medication showed significant efficacy in refractory cases. This study not only enhances our understanding of the pathogenesis of oral mucosal diseases but also provides new ideas and technical support for clinical treatment. The application of precision medicine concepts promises to elevate overall diagnostic and therapeutic standards, ultimately improving patients' quality of life.
